Lizze Anne Friday

So today I have another non-Christmas related card to share. I got this new Lizze Anne Designs stamp in the mail the last week and it has been sitting patiently on my work table. I have been dying to use it but with so many other "must-do's" I have had to wait until today. I decided it would go perfectly with this week's SCS Sketch challenge. I colored in the cute little wedding images with my trusty prisma colors. I added some stickles to the bubbly, flower centers, and bows. I also used some of my new super YUMMY Crate Paper "Hey Sugar". I love this so much I can't seem to put it down. But I can't show you what I've used it for just yet. (I know I'm bad) Other card stock used is SU Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Pomegranate, Creamy Caramel, Bravo Burgundy, and Whisper White. The ribbon is May Arts and the circle punches are from SU. Well that is all for today. Have a great weekend and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! Hugs, Ana

The Cat's Pajamas Thursday

Hi All! Today I want to change things up a bit by sharing a baby card instead of another Christmas card. I made this one for a dear friend who is having a baby shower in a few weeks. She just found out it's a boy so I knew that I wanted to use this adorable little boy's overalls from The Cat's Pajamas. I tried to go with the monochromatic feel by using the same colors throughout the card. I colored in the overalls with my prisma colors and stamped the sentiment which is also from TCP on the top of the panel. I ran a line of dots by using my SU paper piecing template and mat (one of my favorite tools) along the top edge so that it meets up with the sentiment. For the base of the card I used SU Blue Bayou and then framed the Basic Grey "Lily Kate" patterned paper with SU Certain Celery. The overall panel is matted with Bayou and Banana. The smaller inner panel is Sky Blue and Blue Bayou again. The ribbon is SU and the baby pin is from Paper Studio. Well that's all for today but I do have another card to share with you tomorrow. Hugs, Ana

PS Just a reminder that Stampin' Up has released their retired list online and you have until the 31st to place your orders before they are gone forever. If you have any questions please send me an email.

Papertrey Ink Tuesday

Today I have another PTI "Believe" card to share. This one features the Christmas tree image. I stamped it on SU Whisper White card stock and colored it in with my trusty prisma colors. I then matted it onto SU Chocolate Chip and added some SU hardware ribbon sliders on each side. I ran some SU ribbon and tied some bows at the ends. The sentiment is stamped and then punched out with SU oval punches. Other card stock used is SU River Rock, Old Olive, Kraft, Cranberry Crisp, and Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding". Stay tuned for some more cards tomorrow.
Hugs,
Ana

Hi All! Today is a quick post featuring the Papertrey Ink Believe set. I've had this set for a while but this was the first time I inked it up. I know bad me, but I will certainly use it more often now. I colored in the Santa with my prisma colors and framed it with black card stock. The edges were made with decorative scissors. Other card stock used is SU Going Grey, River Rock, Old Olive, and Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding". The silver brad is from Making Memories. Stay tuned for some more cards tomorrow.

Fun Friday

Hi All! I can't believe its Friday already! This week flew by...eeekk I better get to shopping since I still haven't even begun to get Christmas gifts. I did however finish this order for my mother's co-worker. She wanted me to make her some photo Christmas cards. Isn't her son adorable! So for the card I decided to use My Favorite Things Digi Papers and the "Winter Blast" set. I went with this layout because it allowed me to stamp a small image and still have room to display the picture. I stamped the penguins onto the dotted blue paper and colored them in with prisma colors. I added some liquid pearls to the panel to resemble snow. I also added some glitter to add some sparkle. Then I matted that panel with SU Blue Bayou. The picture is matted with SU Chocolate Chip. Other card stock is SU Olive, Real Red, and Sky Blue. Accessories are SU ribbon, circle punches, and silver eyelets. I had a great time making these and I think I will use the same layout for my son's Christmas picture. Have a great weekend! Hugs, Ana

Wishing You Wednesday

Hello everyone! Today I have a card featuring the My Favorite Things "Home for the Holidays" stamp set. I tried to create a cozy and warm Christmas scene. When I stamped the tree I did some masking so that the fireplace would appear to be slightly behind the tree. I tried to create depth that way. I colored in my images with my favorite prisma colors and gamsol. (BTW I just purchased Copics for Christmas and I can't wait to get my hands on them!!) Once I finished coloring the scene I added some stickles to the fireplace and Christmas tree lights. I then matted it with SU Chocolate Chip card stock. Other paper used is SU Old Olive, River Rock, and Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" PP. After I adhered the papers to the card base I took my main image and added some hardware tags on each side. I ran some twill ribbon through them and tied bows on each end. I really like how it brought everything together. Well that is it for my cozy Christmas scene. I call this one Roasted Chestnuts. Stay tuned for some more Christmas cards tomorrow!

Too Cute Tuesday

Isn't this stamp from Stampendous too cute?!!? I think so :) He is the last of the two stamps from the Nativity collection I bought. But I am thinking I want to buy the rest of them. *grin* So for the card I colored in the main image with my trusty prisma colors and gamsol. I added a few details to the image by dabbing some stickles on the grass and hay. The lambs also have liquid pearls. (My new favorite toy) I matted him on SU Chocolate Chip and adhered him on some green "Figgy Pudding" card stocked with is also matted with Chocolate Chip. I added some eyelets to the corners of the green panel. The base of the card is SU Kraft and again I added Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" pp to the lower half. The card is finished off with some wide twill ribbon. I frayed the edges for added dimension. Stay tuned for some more Christmas cards tomorrow.

Hi Everyone!! It's Sunday afternoon and I am enjoying some much needed stamping time. I recently ordered some Stampendous nativity stamps and I have been dying to play with them. I absolutely LOVE them. Today I have a card featuring the Blessed Family stamp. I colored them in with my prisma colors and added some stickles to the star. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things "Sassy Sayings". I did some paper piercing around the main image for added detail. I then matted it with SU Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip card stock. Other SU card stock is So Saffron. The patterned paper is Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding". Other accessories are SU eyelets and twill. Stay tuned for some more Stampendous cards tomorrow. MFT Stamp Release Day

Wow! If you didn't check out the My Favorite Things cocktail party last night you missed out on some fun and laughter. We had such an awesome turn-out. It was so great that it was hard to keep up with all the posts. I can't wait until next months party! So today I have a few more cards that I made featuring the new sets that are now available at the MFT store. The first one is using the "Rain or Shine" set. I colored in the girl's rain coat with my prisma colors and gamsol. The card stock used is SU Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Whisper White, Kraft, Real Red, and Basic Grey PP. Accessories are SU ribbon, brads, and paper piercing mat and template. For the second card I used the "Icing on the Cake" set. I colored in the cakes with my prisma colors again. I adorned the cakes with K&Co rhinestones. The ribbon is a spool I found hidden in my ribbon box. I know its not SU so I am thinking I bought it at Mike's. The sentiment is matted with a nestabilites scalloped rectangular die cut. Card stock is from MFT's new pink Digi Paper and SU Pomegranate, Kraft, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. To complete the card I added some SU gold eyelets to the four corners of the main image. Well I hope you enjoyed my MFT sneak peaks. Now I can't wait to see what everyone else has made with theirs. Oh and I forgot to add that you have until 8 pm tonight to enter the MFT Guest designer contest. Go to the SCS MFT member forum for all the details. MFT Sneaky Peaky #3

We are only hours away from the new My Favorite Things release!! I hope you are excited because we have some really cool games, prizes, and fun planned for you before the big reveal on the SCS MFT Member Forum cocktail party. I think what I am most excited about is the Guest designer contest challenge. I can't wait to see all the entries and see who Cammie and Jen pick as the winner. The MFT DT will also have some exclusive card samples that will be released during the cocktail party. But for right now I have a couple of cards to share with you featuring the new "Rain or Shine" and "Icing on the Cake" set. The first one was made using the cute little umbrella, rain clouds, and rubber boots images from "Rain or Shine." I stamped the images with my Versa Magic dew drops since I find that these are the best for solid acrylic stamps. I cut out one rain cloud and added some crystal effects for added dimension. Then I stuck some 3d glue dots to the cloud and the rubber boots to make them pop. The card stock is a mixture of SU, Basic Grey, and MFT Digi Paper. For SU I used Pretty in Pink, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. Other accessories not mentioned are SU ribbon and prisma colors for the boots. The second sample is from the "Icing on the Cake" set. I also used the new Petaloo Magnetic tags that are now also available at the MFT store. So for the cupcakes I did some masking to create the tiered stand. I colored them in with prisma colors and added some stickles on the frosting. The card stock is once again MFT Digi paper (I LOVE this stuff) and SU So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. To embellish the gift tag holder I used some SU ribbon, circle punches, a Maya Road clear bloom, and a Paper Studio pink brad. I used my cropadile to punch the hole through the magnet. Inside the tag I made a little pocket so you can slide a gift card. I really love these tags and they really come in handy when you need a quick gift idea. Well that's all I have for you today but if you need to see some more sneaky peaks make sure you head on over to the cocktail party tonight from 9-11pm I will have some new samples to share with everyone. Hope to see you there. Hugs Ana

MFT Sneaky Peaky #2

Hi again! Today I have another sample featuring the new upcoming My Favorite Things mini of the month that will be released tomorrow night. I tried a few new techniques on this card. I still colored in the main image with my prisma colors but this time I added liquid pearls to resemble the snow. I really like how this effect came out. I also added crystal effects on the snowman to give him an icy look. I added a close up of the detail to the main image. I also did some stamping on twill with the accessories included in the set. I colored in the mittens with my SU markers. Since I felt that just the twill ribbon was not popping enough against the background patterned paper I went ahead and tied some of my "as seen in every card" chocolate chip wide ribbon. For card stock I picked SU River Rock, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Whisper White, and Figgy Pudding PP. To complete the card I added some red brads. I hope you are enjoying my sneaky peaks. Make sure to head on over to the SCS MFT Member Forum for the Cocktail party tomorrow from 9-11pm for some samples featuring the other sets that are to be released. Its going to be a blast. Here are the details....

MFT Sneak Peak #1

Hi All! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I, for one, got tons of stamping done. *Whoot Whoot* Most of the stamping is for the upcoming My Favorite Things release on December 3rd. Kim from MFT has some awesome stamp sets designed that you will all love. For today's sneak peak I have one of the three to share and it's called "Baby It's Cold Outside". It's this month's mini and I absolutely love it. I features the trademark headless girl building a cute little snowman. It comes with tons of winter says and snowman accessories. Oh, and I forgot to mention that MFT is also releasing their first ever digital paper collection. Both of the cards where made with the new line. The best part of the digital papers is that you have an endless supply at your fingertips plus they take up very little ink. I printed almost all the papers in the collection and I barely saw a dent on my colored ink supply. Pretty cool if you ask me :) So now for the details of the cards. Both images were colored in with my prisma colors and gamsol. On the pink card I stamped the image on SU WW and on the red one I used Kraft. They create different effects. On the first card I added crystal effects and dazzling diamonds glitter to the snowman and snowflake tag. Its supah sparkly IRL. Other card stock used is SU Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Real Red. Accessories are SU ribbon, circle punches, eyelets, and 3d glue dots. For the second card I tried to make it more striking and not so cutesy by adding SU Basic Black and Going Gray card stock. I also added a touch of silver with SU eyelets. The ribbon is black and white polka dot May Arts ribbon. Well that's all I have for you today but don't forget to check back tomorrow for MFT Sneak Peak #2.
Hugs,
Ana

PS My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, December 5 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Christmas Friday

Today I have another Christmas card to share with you. This one is very special because it represents a new company in which I am the new design team member for!! Mary Ann for Stamp La Jolla contacted me earlier this month with an amazing opportunity to join her design team. I fell in love with her stamps so I had to accept. This is one of her many Christmas images. This adorable little snowman was colored in with prisma colors and gamsol. He is stamped on Kraft card stock since I wanted to accent the white snow. The sentiment is also from SLJ and was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink. I matted him on some SU Sky Blue and Blue Bayou card stock. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding". Other card stock used is SU Old Olive and Real Red. To complete the card I used my SU slit punch and used it on the side of the main image. I tied some yummy SU wide grosgrain ribbon and called it a day.
Stay tuned for some more Christmas cards tomorrow.

Hugs and Have a great weekend!

Red Nose Wednesday

Just as promised here is another Christmas card to share with you. This one is one of my favorites because of the whimsical vintage feel. I love this paper from Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" because it really adds the WOW factor to your Christmas cards. The stamp set from Basic Grey called "Santa Baby" is also a MUST have because it really is so beautiful. The Santa Claus is stamped on Kraft card stock and colored in with my prisma colors. I matted it on Real Red SU paper and added matching brads to the four corners. I also stamped the number "25" on the bottom which is also included in the set. I love that subtle little detail the stamp offers. To complete the card I added some of my FAVORITE SU wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon. I can't seem to make a card without that ribbon!! I am running low so off I go to order some more. *smile* Stay tuned for some more cards tomorrow. Hugs, Ana

I sure am and I can't seem to stop making Christmas cards. *smile* Today I have a card I made last night with the fabulous images from Starving Artistamps. I really love this holly stamp and the snowflakes are to die for. I colored in the holly leaves with my prisma colors and gamsol. The snowflakes where stamped on SU Sky blue card stock in a patterned to create the look of patterned paper. Other cards stock used in SU Bayou Blue, Basic Black, River Rock, Whisper White, and Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" PP. The layout is from Michelle's sketch challenge. I serious LOVE this layout!! Accessories used are SU ribbon, eyelets, and 3d glue dots.

Figgy Pudding Monday

Wow...what a week!! I want to start off by saying that I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Mine was awesome beginning with all the wonderful blessings that I am so fortunate to have. Aside from T-Day I also had another family dinner on Friday and a birthday party on Saturday. So that only left me with Sunday to get some stamping done. I did manage to come up with a few cards and projects to share with you this week. But before I continue I want to share some exciting news. I am the proud new Design Team member of Embellish It Scrapbooking. EIS is an awesome online store that carries ALL the products you need to make scrapbooking and card projects. I am so excited to be part of this amazing DT. Also if you didn't know they have an AMAZING forum/chat room. You should join us sometime and upload some cards and chat it up. Its loads of fun. So today I have a card to share with you that features some of the supplies found in EIS. The stamp set used is from Basic Grey and is called "Santa Baby" and so is the patterned paper from the "Figgy Pudding" collection. For the main image I stamped the scrolls with Chocolate Chip ink to resemble ornament strings. The snowflakes are stamped on WW cut out and sprinkled with DD glitter. I adhered them with SU brads at the bottom of the scrolls to look like they are hung ornaments. The sentiment is also from the stamp set. Other card stock used is SU Sky Blue, Pomegranate, Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Bayou Blue, and Whisper White. Accessories are SU ribbon and silver cord.
Stay tuned for some more Figgy Pudding Christmas cards tomorrow.

The Cat's Pajamas Wednesday

Today is Wednesday and you know what that means....a sketch challenge over at SCS. Sketch challenges are my favorite because they do all the hard work for you. *smile* This week's sketch is awesome. I love the tons of possibilities it offers. For this example I used the ADORABLE little penguin from The Cat's Pajamas "Polar Holiday". I just love these clear stamps from TCP. They are so cute and festive. Not to mention affordable! You must check them out. So for this card I colored in the penguin with my prisma colors and added some stickles to resemble ice. Card stock used is SU Sky Blue, Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, and Basic Grey Blitzen PP. Accessories are SU ribbon, silver cord, and red brads. I enjoyed this sketch so much I might try to squeeze another later on today. Hugs, Ana

I matted the main image with a scalloped rectangular punch. Card stock used is SU Going Grey, Sky Blue, Pomegranate, Whisper White, and Basic Grey "Recess" PP. Accessories are SU twill, stitched ribbon, and brads. I also hung a bolt from the ribbon for an added embellishment. The sentiment is stamped on a transparency with Stazon black ink. Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Mine was crazy busy. Saturday was Josh's 3rd birthday party at a farm outside the city. (Here is a link if you want to check it out) It was so much fun they had all kinds of fun activities for the kids to do. Josh had a blast with all his little friends and although I had to chase after him the whole time his party was a success. Since all the chaos of that event plus being sick I really didn't have much time to stamp. But I do have a card I made earlier this month for Starving Artistamps. This card features the new milestone silhouettes from Artfully Inkables. The sentiment is also from the new line. The baby carriage is stamped with a Versa Magic agua pad and outlined with an SU black marker. I added a bow, baby pin, and rhinestones to embellish the carriage. Card stock used is SU Certain Celery, Basic Black, Whisper White, So Saffron, and Crate Paper. Other accessories used are SU brads and 3d glue dots. Stay tuned for some more cards tomorrow!!

MFT Thursday

Today is the day....to get you hot little hands on all the new My Favorite Things sets. I know you have been enjoying all the sneak peaks from half of the Design Team this week but now its our turn!! Yippee... I couldn't wait to show you this card I made earlier this week. Its from the new "Build A Bouquet" set. Again their are TONS of possibilities with all the designs and when I saw this set I thought of a topiary. I used the flowers in ascending order and added bows in the middle branches. I also adorned the centers with brads. To finish the topiary I sprayed it with glimmer mist. It sparkles way more IRL. The sentiment is also part of a new MFT release called "Essential Sentiments" and ladies it really is. I think it's going to be hard not to use it on every one of my cards since the sayings are awesome!! The card stock used is SU Guava, Chocolate Chip, Certain Celery, WW, and Basic Grey PP. The ribbon is May Arts. Other accessories are SU slit and photo corner punches.
Stay tuned for another MFT card tomorrow.

Hi All!! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Mine was super fun. My mom had a Halloween party for the family and then we had an big kids *wink* party with some friends. I dressed up as a fairy and did my own makeup on what I thought a fairy should look like..hehehe Josh was a d
octor and DH was a Eagle's fan (I know so not original but he insisted) I added some pictures of Josh and me. Then on Sunday I started to work on Josh's birthday invitations since it is just around the corner. Eeekk!! I really need to get a move on. I will share those with you tomorrow so you can tell me what you think. But for today I have a Hambo card to share. I did this card for this week's SCS sketch challenge. It features the super adorable raccoon image with the hilarious sentiment also from Hambo. I love all their whimsical images and funny sayings. I colored him in with prisma colors and added some crystal effects on the balloon. The card stock is SU Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, WW, and Basic Grey PP. Accessories are SU brads, ribbon, and slit punch. Make sure to come back tomorrow so you can check out Josh's invites. Hugs Ana

CHF Thursday

Today I am taking a small break from Starving Artistamps to play with my new Cornish Heritage Farm Kim Hughes"Let's Get Stuffed" stamps. When I first saw this set I knew I had to have it since I don't have many Thanksgiving stamps. Plus they are totally ADORABLE too. I love all the cute images and they are equally as fun to color. For this card I picked the cornucopia which I colored in with prisma colors and gamsol. I matted it on SU Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. I did some doodling around the edges. The layout is from this week's SCS sketch challenge. Other card stock used is SU Real Rust and Basic Grey Mellow PP. Accessories are SU ribbon, copper cord, and copper brads.

Make sure to come back tomorrow for the last of the Starving Artistamps cards I have to share. You don't want to miss them! Hugs Ana

Starving Artistamps Wednesday

Wow..we are already in the middle of the week! This weeks is flying by. Today I have some more Artfully Inkables from Starving Artistamps to share with you. They feature a beautiful tulip with a hummingbird and an adorable little zebra.

The first card is the hummingbird card which was stamped using my new VersaMagic inks. I love them. They give you such a soft and polished stamp image. The layout is an old SCS sketch challenge which I love. The card stock is SU Pomegranate, River Rock, Olive, WW, and Basic Grey Perhaps PP. Accessories are SU brads, ribbon, and 3d glue dots.

The second card was made with the adorable little zebra from Starving Artistamps. I think he is such a cutie. I stamped him on Sahara Sand card stock and colored in the stripes with my white prisma color. I added some black stickles to his hooves. The layout is from last weeks Julee 's Mojo Monday. I used the same layout and accessories as the Verve Visual card I made for the challenge. I thought those same elements would go along perfectly with the zebra. Card stock used is SU Black, Real Red, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, and patterned paper. Accessories are SU brads, hardware, ribbon, Marvy oval scalloped punch and SU oval punches. Well I have a few more Artfully Inkables cards to share with you tomorrow so make sure to check back. Hope your enjoying all the samples.

They are so unique and beautiful. Today I have two cards to share with you. They both feature some floral images.

The sentiment is also from SA. Card stock used is SU Black, Banana, Olive, WW, and Basic Grey Perhaps PP. Accessories are SU brads and May Arts ribbon.

The second card features the Water Lilly stamp also from SA. The cattails and the dragonfly are also Artfully Inkables. SU Monday

Hi All! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was good. I did some stamping but not much. Since the days here in Houston are getting a little nicer we enjoyed the outside this weekend. However, I did finish this card so that I could share it with you today. It features a retired SU set called Holiday Wishes. I really like this set and since I am not really loving the new SU Christmas sets I wanted to pick an oldie but goodie. I colored in the Christmas tree with prisma colors and gamsol. I added some stickles on the tree. The card stock is SU Wasabi, Real Red, Whisper White, and SU PP. Accessories are SU ribbon, brads, cord, and Paper Studio star clip. Fun Friday

Wow... this week has really gone by fast!! Maybe its because the weather in Houston is getting a little better and I have been enjoying the outside more these past few days. It's still warm but there is a breeze and the mosquitoes are not waiting to attack you as soon as you step out the door..eeekkk! I swear this summer the little buggers had a picnic on my legs.
Since Halloween is quickly approaching I have these two cards to share with you today. They feature some new clear stamps I bought at Archivers a few weeks back. The adorable little Dracula was the main reason I bought them. He is so CUTE! I also used some Halloween rub-ons that I bought from Hobby Lobby last year. I was determined to use them since they had sat on my shelf for way to long. Card stock used on the first card is SU Eggplant, Plum, Olive, Black, Gray, WW, and Chatterbox PP. The ribbon is May Arts and SU. I added crystal effects on the Dracula's cape and hair. Other stamps used is SU Cheesecloth background. The owl card has SU Rust, Olive, Chocolate Chip, and WW card stock. The ribbon is May Arts and SU along with the brads. The white rub-ons are from Basic Gray.

Tomorrow I have an SU card to share so make sure to take a peak. Well, that's about it for today so have a great Friday!!
Hugs, Ana

Tutorial Monday

Hi All!! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Mine was AWESOME not only did I finally get to finish the prisma color tutorial I have been promising you guys but I also met Jen del Muro from iheart2stamp!! I had a blast spending Friday with Jen and her ADORABLE baby Ellie. We went to the Children's Museum here in Houston and let the kiddos play. I was sorta embarrassed because Jen's DD is the sweetest and most well-behaved little girl ever and then we have my DS which is full of energy and going through the terrible two's. Let's just say he kept wanting to eat her snacks (even though he had his own food) and stole her ball in the play area. Luckily Jen was a teacher and had some great tips for me. (Thanks Jen)

So now to the tutorial. I made a step by step guide on how I like to color with my prisma colors. There are many ways t
o use them and this is just my version. In this tutorial I will only use my prisma colors and blending stumps. If you don't have prisma colors and blending stumps Kim from MFT has an awesome deal she calls her Favorite 48. Make sure to check it out. I will also have another tutorial using the gamsol soon. Here we go..

Step one: I stamped the lion image from MFT "Its A Jungle Out There" onto white card stock. I then colored in the whole image with a light yellow pencil.
Step two: I then picked two shades of a mustard yellow color. One being lighter than the other. I started by coloring in the body and head of the lion with the lighter shade. I then blended that in with the paper stump.

Step three: I then took the darker shade and highlighted the edges of the head and body. I then blended that together as well. When blending with the stump I like to use a circular motion. Also if I feel its not dark enough I repeat
step three until I get the desired look.

Step four: Now that the body is done I start on the lion mane. Again I pick two shades of brown one being lighter than the other. I color in the whole mane with the lighter shade and blend with the paper stump.
Step five: I follow by outlining with the darker brown around the edges. I blend that with the stump as well.

Step six: Now that the lion is finished I like to add a neutral shade around the outline of the whole lion or image to make it pop on the white card stock. For this image I used two shades of bluish gray. I start with the lighter version and then accent with the darker and blend everything together.

Step seven: Use the finished image to make a fabulous card!!

Edited to Add: I forgot to include the card recipe. Here goes...
Stamps: My Favorite Things Its A Jungle Out There
Card stock: Georgia Pacific card stock (found in Wal-Mart) SU Olive, Rust, Chocolate, River Rock, Basic Gray Mellow PP
Accesories: SU ribbon, cord, brads, prisma colors
Technique: Paper piercing

If you have any other questions please leave a comment and I will try to answer back. Hope you enjoyed the tutorial. Hugs Ana
